La Colmena 44 on the 4th! happy Independence Day America.

Smoked a La Galera Connecticut Cepo (short panetela size at about 5 x 36). Started ok and then got boring. I have a few left from a box and I think it just wasn't meant for aging.

I'm making it all right with this La Aurora Preferidos Cameroon Corona. It's easy to smoke these too fast, but they're just right at a slow pace. The black tea notes La Auroras can have are just stellar.

And the Galera I smoked a week ago.. the Imperial Jade Cameroon- awful.

In honor of the Fourth of July, I enjoyed a vintage Cifuentes Partagas Habana cigar, 38 ring-gauge, which I purchased a number of years ago from the Julius Vesz shop in the Royal York Hotel in Toronto, Canada. It had aged wonderfully well and was delightful!

It’s 69⁰ F outside. We had a nice July 4th dinner and several guests over. Susan made shrimp summer rolls, an assortment of homemade pickles, carrot salad, crabmeat stuffed mushrooms, and chili verde. It was yummy. We were supposed to watch fireworks at the next town over, but they’re happening tomorrow night. Having a Cigars International Original Cubans Belicoso, 6.0" x 54 on the porch.
