Had a few cigars over the last couple days:
Diesel Wicked while gearing up for a bonfire.
Diesel Hair of the Dog for a drive to Deschutes Falls Park.
And a Man O War Puro Authentico maduro for a walk with the dog this evening.

custom wide Edmundo rolled my master roller Miguel Sanchez in Cuba. I prefer custom rolls now, the construction and draw is flawless, and the leaf the well known rollers use is hand selected by then. Not factory produced. Works of art. They put their love and pride into it
If anyone wants a hookup with Johnny o inbox me. He ships within the US. Can't really tell the difference between a cohiba siglo custom vs a 100$ factory, but the custom is 20. Needs about a year to really come into their own but worth the wait.
I have several Johnny O blends and vitola remaining from purchases 2014-2018. Fully agree they need at least a year of rest, but the EL blends, such as the La Reina and Cohibas, true to form, are still aging away as they really benefit from 10 years or more. The La Reina are still climbing the mountain - very glad to have more than 40 of those left.

Yeah I'd agree, the cigar last night was a little young still, it's at the 2 year mark. It's a completely different roller though I got them from a cigar forum guy who brings back a limited amount of customs each trip. Johnny O world famous at the 2 year mark really start to open up. I have some siglo IV EL's that really found their stride about 2 years in. LC I've tried one at the 2 year mark and they still need alot of time, but the price of LC are alot cheaper so my expectations aren't as high. But yeah best bang for you buck is custom rolls. Pretty much everyone has been priced out of factory Cubans. The custom roll scene has exploded in popularity last few years.
I have no idea what this is or where it came from, but I'm about to fire it up!

Garmirian 20th
I've now tried 4 Garmirians across various lines. All have been excellent in their own way
Aladino Petite Corona. Real good, but the Santis have a leg up on intensity/ focus of flavor
My Fuente Friday was this Destino al Siglo. Probably the most ornate band I have ever seen. Got 2 of these last summer.
Garmirian Maduro. I like this brand. If you don't mind or even prefer smaller smokes they're not terribly expensive in this 2025 world
Another Aladino on the drive home, and I killed off my last AJ Chiquita, the box that had bugs, this evening
