Curious if anyone has experience with this one. I’m honestly not too impressed so far. Have had some construction issues and not super impressed with the taste. Maybe I got a one-off?
I haven't tried a King B, but the Queen Bs that I've had fresh weren't very good. They've needed at least a year of rest before I've enjoyed them.

Meh. When it comes to Fuente Sungrown, I've found the 858 and Hemingway far superior to the Chateau series. I like the Gran Reserva blend better than the Chateau as well.

La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Churchill Oscuro dry boxed 2 days after receipt (including in the freezer to expedite the process), served alongside some Jade Absinthe.20250418_135116.jpg

It's warm and the air smells like flowers! Beautiful day for this pairing - it helped being given a half day at work, too!

It's been years since i've had one of these, but remember it as being a good smoke. Would definitely give it another try before writing it off.

I was fortunate enough to catch Arturo Fuente, JR at Tampa Sweethearts a couple weeks ago while there and picked up a few goodies. Fuente Friday smoke this afternoon is a fresh Best Seller maduro i bought from him while there.

Did they have any Don Carlos or The Man lanceros at the event?
There was no event, i was just swinging by while in Ybor City. It was a quiet day at the shop, which gave us ample time to visit. I believe there were some DC offerings, but didn't think to inquire about The Man. Would like to give that one a try, myself. Could always give them a call.

Gotcha - heck of a coincidence, then. I'm wondering if the Don Carlos lancero will become available at Tampa Sweethearts with Casa Fuente in Vegas closing.

As far as I know, The Man lanceros have not been released yet. The were due last Christmas season, but here we are. Typical Fuente.

Padron 6000 RobustoView attachment 380266

Back in the Good Old Days Padron rolled in Honduras as well as Nicaragua. I started smoking Padron’s when I was with SOUTHCOM down In Valle Honduras in the mid 90’s and always keep some around.
Unfortunately they’re not $2.00 a stick anymore 😂
In any event I figured I might as well have one today while smoking a Brisket outback.

Catching up with the Cigar WAYS thread. It’s funny: I think of Padron as a budget cigar—I picked up my first Maduro wrappered Padron 2000 (or 3000) at Georgetown Tobacco in the mid ’90s and fell in love with them. Today, while not nearly as expensive as their Anniversary blends, they’re not as easy on the wallet as they used to be—but, that’s true of most cigars—Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur III cigars used to be $80.00 for a box of twenty and are probably twice that now.
