It’s a nice sunny afternoon and I have the house to myself for a few hours, so I decided to work out on the deck with a cigar. Since it’s pretty breezy, I brought out a lower-tier cigar: a Mark Twain No 1 churchill.
Fairly bland but pleasant enough; however, the ash is very flaky and loose, and likes to flutter over to my work laptop. When it burns, it’s very uneven, and required a lot of relights.
Despite my complaints, I could see buying some again for the right price and for the right circumstances, and it did suit my lazy afternoon workday. It’s a good cigar for helping you appreciate better cigars. My beefly companion seemed to like it too

Guillermo Leon lancero made for somesuch W Curtis Draper anniversary or another. At 10 years old, they're smoking down the house for a multi-country blend (I often prefer puros). I'm kind of surprised to see that these haven't sold out in over 10 years.
AJ Fernandez New World Connecticut. This is the first Connecticut I've smoked. Figured I have to try one eventually! 
I Just picked up a 5pk sampler of New World this past week at Specs for $24.30 vs $28.80 elsewhere. Looking forward to trying them.
Haha! That’s what my brother asked me. My initial thought was yes. But my second thought was there are so many more to try. I think that’s part of the reason pipes and cigars appeal to me is the amount of choices we have in this hobby.
It was a two cigar day today. Earlier I smoked Oliva Serie V. Now smoking a San Lotano The Bull.
