This months Small Batch COTM. This is the 3rd month since signing up. I’ll probably break out the first months bag of 3 cigars soon and give them a try. They’ve been resting at a comfy 65 degrees Fahrenheit and around 65% humidity since.

Good Morning! Irish guy is true but living currently in Missouri. Originally from Iowa (quite a few badgers running around ) the Tall Corn State. Appreciate the welcome. Have always wanted to participate in a pipe community and now recently retired seems like the right moment to dive in.
Hey guys, I just wanted to say something about my last post and the Small Batch COTM. When I originally started this membership it was at the very end of the month. Small batch is normally sold out of most of their COTM’s probably due to their size and ability to fulfill only so many orders. So most people, me included have to keep an eye on the website and jump on the opportunity when a spot opens up. This is why my order was placed and ultimately fulfilled at the end of the month. Early this month I decided to ask if it was possible to change the order fulfillment date so I would get my order earlier in the month. It was just easier this way for me due to my credit card payment date. They said yes but said that this would mean I would be switching to a new COTM all together and that I may as a result get a duplicate or 2. So if any of you noticed that this month I ended up getting another Adrian Mangus like last month this is the reason why.

First smoke of a Warped Futuro Seleccion Suprema with a cappuccino. Here are my tasting notes:
Warped Futuro Seleccion Suprema
Size: 5.63 x 46 (corona gorda).
Wrapper: Nicaraguan Corojo 99.
Binder: Nicaraguan Criollo 98.
Filler: Nicaraguan Criollo 98.
Cold draw: banana.
On the light: cream.
1st 3rd: cream, vanilla, baking spice, bready.
2nd 3rd: baked goods sweetness, cream, coffee, spice.
Last 3rd: coffee, spice, creamy.
Burn line note: sweetness, bready.
Strength: medium.
Construction: excellent draw but some relights.
Smoke time: 2 hours.
Pairing: cappuccino.
Comments: pleasant cigar, medium body, full flavor.
Score: 8 (recommended).

Filler: Nicaraguan.
On the light: no particular flavor other than hay, maybe dark chocolate.
1st 3rd: definitely Nicaraguan tobacco, refined, nutmeg, nutty.
2nd 3rd: Chocolate, barnyard, bready.
Last 3rd: almond, earthy, pepper. Quite good.
Burn line note: refined Nicaraguan.
Strength: medium-strong.
Construction: outstanding.
Smoke time: 2 hours.
Pairing: cappuccino.
Comments: great price point. Refined Nicaraguan.
Score: 9 (highly recommended).

23 minutes to midnight Habano. I haven't had a cigar out of this line that was not good.

Man it's good to have an affordable smoke. I've never tried those but love the AJ Last Call and Oliva G Robusto for $3
Do you intentionally age/rest those and if so have you found a preferred sweet spot time-frame?
