Tons - the original Antaño perfecto was one of my first box purchases circa 2006 or 07 - it went skinny to fat like a spliff, not at all similar to the current Perfecto they offer. I've been through almost all of their stuff from before they were bought by Drew Estates. I'm in the middle of seeing how the Antaño Dark Corojo age, but the standard Antaño ages a dream. It's a bummer they stopped selling the bricks of Machito vitola - just the perfect size for that blend.

I've also been wowed by the Numero Uno. The rest I wasn't terribly impressed with.

It was bunched lopsided, which affected the draw. The biggest issue, my guess, is that the wrapper is sort of fireproof. Not quite Havana EL from the mid 00s fireproof, but approaching that.

Rather than contact them, I'll just not buy again. There are just too many good cigars out there and it was only a 5 pack (thank God!). I'll let the remaining 2 or 3 age away. I save my cigar manufacturer emails for asking La Aurora to bring back the Fernando Leon or for JRE to make a Criollo-heavy Aladino similar to the old Camacho Havana. ;)
Thank you!

Hopefully I got some good ones. We'll see in another month or so

Machito sounds like a great size. My retailer was out of them when I ordered... Dark Corojo is next on the list, and maybe Antaño Lancero

You probably know most of this, but I found these episodes interesting

Double Ligero Natural 452 for me today

I did not drop this one and wreck the wrapper. They are in fact better if you don't do that

LFD's are excellent cigars. If you get a chance, try their flat tipped stick that is affectionately called "the Chisel."

Definitely, thanks for the recommendation!

I have been working my way through their lineup

So far, favorite is Double Ligero Natural Chiselito, with plenty of others that were quite good
Not to get too "anal" with this, but there is an interesting trick that you can do with a chisel LFD. If you have a punch cutter (that punches the small hole vs, a guillotine, wedge, etc.) then punch a hole in the side of the flat of the chisel. Not all the way through but just cut the wrapper. When you smoke it, have that hole facing up and the smoke flows up into the roof of your mouth and is quite cool and something about that angle improves the over all deliver of flavor. The chisel is the only stick that I know that you can do this with, but it is a nice variation.....

That is interesting, thanks for the tip

We had a nice walk. It’s 70⁰ F out and partly cloudy; the sun peeks out occasionally. Having an Asylum 13 Medulla 652 Toro, 6.0" x 52 on the porch. Susan is playing Wingspan, which I still need to learn so we can play against our friends, Paul and Juliet, in Rhode Island. The walk made Wasabi sleepy.

Catching creek browns with a tabernacle lancero, couple of years in the humidor did this stick a lot of good.View attachment 397786View attachment 397787
What a great picture! Makes me want to go stream trout fishing again. It's been years (time constraints have limited my fishing to fall steelhead). Fond memories of a few trips to MT...

Petite Aladino is just what I needed this afternoon

The weather is so nice I'm planning for another something after dinner
