I saw your fishing post yesterday, was curious if you have ever fished the boundary waters? I took a trip up there when I was younger. Used a motor boat to pull our canoes and supplies across a lake (can’t remember the name)that motors were allowed on. After that we carried the canoes and supplies from lake to lake. Very fun trip! Saw moose and bear and all sorts of wildlife. Caught some really good fish too. Some of the best walleye I’ve ever had! Good memories.

I have, long ago, a few times. It is a magnificent place!

Nowadays I fish the fall run on the Brule River, this is in Northern WI and flows into Lake Superior. The trout swim up from the lake, where they grow for a few years

One of the better smokes I've had lately. 8 months in the humi and required a single stab from the Perfectdraw to fix a tight spot near the band.

A nice richness, something that reminds me of pickled cherry peppers, warm black pepper, and a round espresso-like flavor
