I feel similarly. Had a few great but not repeatable smokes from Morphine, Madonna, Novemdiales...

On the other hand, I do like the Rorschach skinnies, and both sizes NBK. Hmm those are both original blends, maybe my taste skews that way??

Spent the morning moving snow.

I love that Black Label, or I guess their factory, do make thinner sizes and some nice corona sizes. But aside from that Rorschach and the Green Hornet that adds some candela leaf to the Maduro wrapper... I just haven't found too many I'd go out of my way to buy again. But none that are really outright bad either.

Beautiful picture!

Warped New Day. The first third of this cigar has an exceptional flavor profile, but I'm struggling with smoke production. The draw is fine, I'm just not getting as much smoke as I'd like. It may be the unusually most weather we've been having (I've had it in a backpack for 5 days or so), or maybe just needs some extra age. I'm worried the back half might get unpleasant due to over-puffing. I might grab another on my next SP order, and let it rest in my dryer humidor for a few months

Edit: It's the filler. I can't remember having too many issues like this, but I literally cannot ash this cigar because the binder and filler are not burning completely, and keeping up with the wrapper. The opposite problem is way more common. Weird. This does lead me to believe they may still be a bit wet from the factory., or there is some kind of flame-proof component leaf in the filler. Will definitely buy a couple more to try this with because the flavor profile is good enough to deal with the frustration.

Re: Camacho Ecuador.
Meh. Won't be buying another, not my bag flavor-wise and the constant touch ups are not worth the effort. Ah well, can't win em' all.

The man and family that started Camacho now run the JRE and CLE lines respectively, which are knocking out some of the best smokes I've ever had featuring Honduran tobacco, and Camacho is owned by Davidoff, I believe. When I first started smoking cigars, Camachos were considered pretty strong, full-flavored cigars. At some point, something changed , whether it was my tastes, the tobaccos used, individual crop vintages, whatever, and Camacho started becoming a bit more bland to me.

I would recommend trying a regular JRE Aladino Corojo, and if you like it, I find the Vintage Selection and Cameroon (Cameroon-seed grown in Honduras, so it's still a Honduran puro) lines are also excellent. They also happen to all be fairly priced, which is rad!

Oh yes, sorry, I should have mentioned that at the time, as I read awhile ago about Davidoff taking over. It has been some months since I bought that Ecuador and I think I was mostly wanting to try it for the wrapper vs my other favourite in the LGC Wavell natural.

Although, I've been really enjoying the Aladino cigars I've tried and could be more than happy to stick with just them.

Even though it was my first and probably only Camacho it didn't quite feel like a Camacho, if that makes sense. Reading Katman's review whilst smoking it didnt help either, but man was he spot on.

I have a few non Eiroa cigars I'm looking forward to, ie Espinosa Laranja, Melanio serie V and a Punch Gran Puro, but otherwise I know I'll be just focusing on Aladino as my go to cigar.

Thanks for the recommendations though, I haven't really thought about Cameroon's though, that will be another to try.
