Mil Días XX Mareva

Lovely little 5.13 X 42, these were the 2020 Mil Días LE and as far as I can tell it's the standard blend in a special size.

When they popped up on Smokingpipes this past summer I grabbed a handful. Ever excited and impatient, I figured since they were already aged maybe I could smoke 'em early. Mistake.

Now that they're rested 3+ months, my my they are good. 2 left...

Hell yeah, strong start

Late (as usual) to Fuente Friday- Fired up an Opus X Pussycat

Decent, some sharpness at times. Nowhere near as rich or complex as other Xs I've had. 4 months in the box but I couldn't resist. Won't be touching another for at least 6 months but glad I tried one

Little over an hour...

Those are some of the best Opus out there and one of the few that doesn't need much age. Danged near impossible to find, at least in years past. I also haven't seen a Petit lancero in the wild for a looong time.

La Galera 1936 Box Press. I don't understand why La Galera doesn't get more love. Really nice cigars at a super nice price point. I prefer the Habano and 1936 lines, but the Maduro and Connecticuts are also solid. If you've had other cigars made Jochy Blanco and like that toffee/caramel flavor that seems to be common to his tobacco, give them a try!
