How is that one? I’m an Alec Bradley fanboy, but I’m bad about judging cigars by their bands and that thing has always been a turn off. It screams sugar free energy drink or something similarly wretched.
It was very good. Chocolatey at the start, rich and smooth. Full, with a nic hit that creeps up on you. I don’t usually smoke ring gauges that big, this must have been a gift or variety bundle.

I’ll have to try one. Chocolatey and full are two qualities I admire in a cigar. I’m with you on the bigger ring gauges, though. If I never smoked another cigar over 50 ring gauge I’d be just fine.

I find that a lot of the big ring seegars are rolled loose, and you end up with a lot of air. I wasn't concentrating on this smoke, just kicking back on the deck with the cat and a glass of JimInk's finest (water and bergs), so I can't give you the full, pedantic rundown. But I agree with you on the label and size. If I could afford to just smoke 8-5-8's, I'd be happy. That and I have a 30 year cigar collection that will already outlast me. I do enjoy my old Robusto El Rey's from back when Lew ran JR Cigar.
