It depends on how strong the Latakia content is in the blends that you smoked and your individual palate.
It is kind of the same thing that happens to your palate with food and drink. If you eat or drink something that is very strong and hearty, your palate needs time to readjust and cleanse itself to pick up the flavors in a more subtle lighter type food or drink.
For example:
If you drink a bold in your face type of red wine like a big Cabernet Sauvignon a few times a day, for a few days in a row, and then you go to drink a light white wine like a Sauvignon Blanc, you may not be able to pick up the lighter and more subtle flavors because your palate has become accustomed to the bold flavors of the Cab.
Does this always happen to everybody?
Maybe not. But it is something to take into account.
