What are Your Thoughts on Super Saver Shipping?

This is the first I've heard of Super Saver shipping. In most instances, waiting week or three would not be such a bad thing. Limited padding for the product could be a problem if it didn't arrive in good condition. I don't like the usual "free shipping" tied to the amount of the purchase, which is always more than my more usual orders. If I was just ordering a few baggies of bulk blend, I'd sure try Super Saver. It quickens my Scotch heart.
I think it is for international orders and it utilises the military post system.
I was totally confused on Juneteenth, signed into law on Thurs & they said Federal workers would take it on Fri this yr because the 19th fell on Sat. But the Post Office works on Sat. I think they observed it twice because I didn't get anything on Fri or Sat.
All I can see here are praises of Super Saver International shipping. Well, I have a different experience. I decided to buy some tobaccos so I can enjoy them during Christmas. I ordered from smokingpipes.com on nov5, on nov8 it was shipped. Since then I've been waiting... Till this day I haven't received the package yet. I probably won't get the package this year. I'll never use that shipping method again.
The whole postal system seems to be collapsing. I tried to place an order with Taylor Tools last night... only to find out they don't ship to Canada. ? WTF. I could understand an "issue" with tobacco, but... carpenters' squares?? Is this for real??
