I have yet to try anything from C&D and am anxiously awaiting for Autumn Evening to either A) be in stock at P&C or B) finding it at Iwan Ries (according to there website it is available for online order.) So I want to know what the favorites are out there. Thanks guys!
are you the fellow that get's to Timba's regularly? if so I'll drop of a sample next week with Tom for you.

I still have not tried all but two of their baccy's myself. I plan to get a drop on some tins on my next order but I will use the Autumn Evening to mix with some Peterson's and Exhausted Rooster as well. The rest I will have to sample and see what they are all like.

I enjoy both their espresso and mocha blends. And sometimes I enjoy Haunted Bookstore.

I just had founding fathers for the first earlier this evening and its very flavorful. I could definitely start smoking it regularly.

I haven't tried many C&D's. Berry Good, wasn't so Berry Good to my taste buds, had barely any noticeable sweetness and was pretty short on flavor, even though those flavors were mild.
Autumn Evening really tastes like maple, that's why I like that one.
But geez, C&D has so many blends, if I had time and money to try them all, I'd probably say I like half of them.

Autumn Evening, I have other tins of Pease and capt. Earls that I haven't opened, but I'm sure I'm going to love them.

In actuality Autumn Evening is the only blend that I like from C&D. I once called them up and placed a order for a sampler pack and when I smoked them, I just didn't care for them, except autumn evening.
I've only tried about 10 blends, but 9 I didn't care for. I prefer McClelland tobaccos for me, Mc seems to be much higher quality tobacco?

It's intersting how some houses are better at some things thsn others. If you want Virginias I think it's tough to top McClelland but if you like burley based blends then C&D is tops IMHO. Of the 220+ blends C&D offers I've had about 25 so I have some way to go but I like trying their stuff because I find the blends to be interesting; at least on paper. I can't say that there are blends I would not order again but with so many I only repeat order maybe 6 at this point.

Man I want to try Autumn Evening as well! Colcolt got that in my head. My favorite so far is probably a mocha that I got from a member here. I haven't had a lot of their blends yet.

Old Joe Krantz and Haunted Bookshop--great BurVaPer blends--strong burley show, but the Perique is definitely noticable--
Big & Burley--just a good strong Burley--has condiments of Perique, Latakia, Vivginia and Turkish but they are downplayed-
Morley's Best--BurVaLat; great tobacco--has become my favorite blend--not a Latakia overload, but quite noticeable in the blend--a smokey burley flavor that is the one tobacco i crave anytime of the day--
other's are Bayou Night and Star of The East--both are excllent in their own way--
the only blend i haven't liked was Mountain Camp--it wasn't pleasant to me--harsh and way too much Latakia--

I do not have a good record with C&D blends. Their burley and I do not get along, so I have an issue with their big burley blends. (As you can see from this first list, it took me a long time to figure that out.) Here is what I have tried that I did not care for:
Epiphany

Crooner

Haunted Bookshop

Old Joe Krantz

Green River Vanilla

Guilford Courthouse

Captain Bob's Blend

Junkyard Dawg

Mississippi Mud

Safe Harbor Flake

Elegant Emu

Manhattan Afternoon
However, there are a few that I like. Really like:
Star of the East Flake - Just a great English-style flake. Completely surprised by this one.

Exhausted Rooster - Enough other people have pimped this one, so I don't need to.

Briar Fox - doctorthoss nailed this one by calling it savory. Unlike any other VA that I have smoked.

Burley Flake #2 (Dark and white burley, plus a touch of VA): If you like the taste of burley, this is a great, soft-smoking flake with lots of distinctive burley flavor. It's almost fruity (i.e. blueberry) in the way that only good burley can taste. No bite, nothing harsh. And it's in the form of beautiful, supple flakes that smell delicious in the tin.
