I've used the search option and found several threads similar, but they're years old. So I think it's time for a update. What are your favorite blends that are still available? It's subjective of course but usually there is a bit of consensus. So if I can be indulged, let's list our 1 or 2 favorites (still available)in each category and see where things land.

1-Virginia
2-Virginia Perique
3-Aromatic
4-English

VA: lately it’s been Sutliff 515 RC1

VaPer: tough one. Probably Carolina Red Flake with Perique. I am also quite partial to D&R Rimboché S. J.

Aromatic: St. Bruno Ready Rubbed, if you count that as an aromatic. Toss-up between Edward G. Robinson and Planta MMXII Ripe Marula if not.

English: Balkan Supreme, unless I want something more Oriental-forward, then it’d probably be GLP Spark Plug.

Virginia - FVF, Yorktown, Cut Virginia Plug, Luxury Flake, Best Brown Flake, Campaign Dark Flake, and so may others.

VaPer - Haddo's Delight, Sixpence, Telegraph Hill, Anni Kake, Vipratti, Curly Block, SJF, Doblone d'Oro and so many others

Aromatic - Dunbar, Dorchester, Cardiff - Yeah I know they're not considered aromatics, but with the level of topping they sure as hell are

English - The English blends I really like are all extinct., though I do have a couple, like Margate, that I haven't yet tried. For now, when I smoke an English blend, it's an extinct English blend.

Virginia - SG FVF

Virginia Perique - SG SJF / HU
Director’s Cut (I know it’s got a bit of burley and Kentucky, but it smokes like a Vapor to me).

Aromatic - I have never publicly admitted this, but I enjoy an infrequent bowl of HU Jerry Saronno.
It is a cherry/amaretto topped Virginia ribbon/broken flake. See @jiminks review at
HU Jerry Saronno

English - I no longer enjoy smoking any true English blends.

The Big Rock Candy Mountains
I'm skipping the unicorns and unobtaniums because, why bother?

Va - Newminister No. 400 Superior Navy Flake
VaPer - Luxury Navy Flake
Aro - Peretti No Name
English - Sutliff Match Balkan Sobranie Original Mixture or Sutliff Match Balkan Sobranie 759

I'd be happy with a store of these on the proverbial desert island.

What, no burley? Bah, humbug.

Va -- LNF
VaPer -- Fire Storm
Aro -- SWR Aro
Eng -- C&D Stratfordshire

Some of my favorites are not still sold, but I still have them. Most blends I have are not favorites per se, but I enjoy them all the same.

Virginia - Capstan Blue, FVF, PS LNF, but I have have others on the way so who knows next month.

VaPer - sweet - Peterson De Luxe Navy Rolls. "traditional" - HU Louisiana Broken. Honorable mention is aged PS LBF.

Aromatic - Edwards Tampa FL - Peaches n Cream, but to be fair it's the experience most likely. I don't do Aro's.

English - Balkan Supreme, Quiet Nights, and Maltese Falcon. Honorable mention Peterson Nightcap. Again, who knows next month.
