A jacket. It's starting to get chilly out. Besides, the breast pocket is great for holding my lighter and tamper.

Not sure if pipe smoking is possible with it on however.

I actually need one of those here. California is sending lots of smoke. Sure seems that pollution being spread by... oops... political thoughts almost sneaked through.

I'm under the impression that lots of pipesmokers do seem like wearing hats,whether its some kind of baseball Cap,Tweed cap,Fedora, straw or cowboy styled one,

Personally I do love all kind of cool lookin fedora or cowboy styled hats and british style tweed caps ,I them good few ones sitting in my closet but unfortunately due to various obstacles I get wearing them not as often as I liked.

What looked like a bot ad for kilts revived a very old thread, but we keep rolling because it was interesting. Today I am wearing dress slacks, white shirt, black tie, masonic tie pin, a green tweed jacket, and black combat boots whilst smoking in public. I had a meeting and felt like classing it up just a touch, but not too much. The pipe in question has a 20mm shell casing for a band and is a tubos shape. I'm not sure I made the right style choice, but it pairs with the boots.

In any event, I don't know if those old (disappeared from the forum) guys were tongue in cheek, but there sure was a lot of mention of sweat pants worn in public. Oy. Not cool.
