Smoking a bowl of folded up Carolina red flake with Perique 2025 fresh out of the tin out of the box. Oh boy! My dog is enjoying this cool night with me, and maybe some of the smoke too, hard to tell. Brother came by earlier, and when I popped the tin open for a free smell, he said “hey, that’s got a good sweet and sour to it”. This, from a guy who always says all tobacco smells like tobacco, he said yeah, there’s something special about this one.
He’s right.

Half way through this bowl of year 2022 Solani 633 in a straight smooth brown Algerian briar post-WW2-mid 50s family era Barling’s Make Ye Olde Wood Straight Grain Made in England bulldog with a diamond shape shank and black ebonite stem. This pipe came from the estate of David Cuneo. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
