Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and snow peas dinner with a small bowl of double chocolate ice cream for dessert. I'm a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2021 Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Evening Flake in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson Ebony POTY 4AB No. 422/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Fed all the ferals and my cats a while ago, and the ferals are outside. They've been very quiet today.

Its Nightcap for the final smoke of the day in the newer Peterson 05 cobble, didn’t really feel up to burning the SH Baskervilles bowl of it.
I love me some Nightcap, I don't smoke a lot of English Latakia stuff anymore but once in a blue moon. But there was a time when its all I wanted to smoke was English. Nightcaps one I really enjoyed.

I'm passing the half way mark of this bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Watching the Orioles-Yankees game.

I helped a couple of neighbors rake and haul off leaves so I decided my creaky old back needed a break and out came my biggest bowl. Dad used to call this (probably late 60s or early 70s) Yorkshire his “Big McArthur” and it’s an apt nickname. I can get an inch and a half of my thumb into the chamber of this guy. I mixed a couple of burly-based cherry blends together and finally called it quits after 90 minutes. I probably could have gotten two hours out of it, based on what I dumped out, but I had more leaves to rake.

Now smoking year 2020 Mac Baren Scottish Mixture in a straight, smooth brown 1960s Lane era Charatan Special 38 bulldog with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Tomato the Brave just came in to eat. Daisy the Feral Princess and Harry the Hairy are eating outside.

Stanislaw Irish Spring Flake is a classic Virginia flake with just a touch of Perique. The Perique is barely noticeable — more of a subtle spicy accent that highlights the natural sweetness of the Virginia rather than dominating it. The result is a smooth, balanced smoke without any heaviness. I’m smoking it now in a Gasparini, and the tobacco opens up calmly and predictably. Quite a pleasant everyday blend for those who enjoy “pure” Virginias with just a hint of spice.

Smoking the Fly Spray Special, which I loaded up with Kelly’s Coin about three hours ago to go tend to the horses.
On the way out back we found the laundry room flooded-the condensate line from AC plugged up🤨. Had to break out the little compressor, MacGyver a hose/fitting to work as a stopper, pull apart the cinder block skirting on the house, find my coveralls (and a 22 w/snake shot), and shimmy my narrow frame in the crawl space and blow out the line. Of course, I had to clean up laundry room and air handler afterwards because the funk in the line blew up all over the place.
And here I thought I was gonna have a lazy Sunday…. Oh well, luxury problems. At least in six hours I get to get up and go to work to relax some😆

Oh yeah, no pipe pic but I did catch the Space X launch.

Smoking my larger Santambrogio on this beautiful TX night. 🌃

My previous experiment with 50/50 Sutliff Z50 Black Cordial & MB HH ODF was not so great,
so I switched it up to 80/20 Black Cordial to ODF and it's a huge improvement. Basically has all the creamy deliciousness of Black Cordial, but adds a tobacco tang (i.e., I can actually taste tobacco, compared with straight Cordial!). Next time I'll dial down to 90/10 and see what happens. But, really enjoying this!

Drinking Chinese Da Hong Pao oolong tea to complement watching Chinese Open tennis. 🍵🎾 Cheers!
