It does sport some different blasting, Is it just me butI think dunhills from the 70s and 80s look the best
From my understanding the 70’s were the least desirable era for blasts however I have several from then that are just wonderful. For me it is just like any other time for them even now and that is you have to be able to pick the one that stands out.
The Patent eras seem to be the ones that consistently stand out and I’d assume it’s from briar selection and pride in workmanship over sales at the time. I don’t own any Patent era pipes as of yet but that’s not from a lack of looking. @JimInks posts up some examples that are just spectacular like his 1924 Pot and LB’s This 80’s model 5103 popped up while looking for my elusive LB so it was just pure luck at the time.

I agree theres gems in all sorts of pipes from certain eras and makers, and the account that I often look at things differently 🤣
