GH Sweet Maple Twist (2013) dried out over night in a Nording semi rusticated billiard (The Hunter?). Still don’t get any maple but full bodied!
New XL315 system—my first with a fiahtail. Smokes great with Chelsea Morning. Interesting rustication/colors; almost like a cross between standard rustication and the cobble style. Great pipe!

I finally acquired one of my Holy Grail Peterson pipes: a 999 John Bull Author (not the more commonly seen 999 Rhodesian). Having what I feel is a special tobacco in it—Sutliff Signature Series by Per Georg Jensen Birds of a Feather Uno (May 2022).
Fall cold has not made its way to NYC as of yet, so I'm still smoking presbyterian in an authors pipe or my Peterson prince if i want a quick smoke. Once the cold starts biting, I'll probably switch to maple street by Sutlif and put that in my Morgan bones sitter pipe. Still haven't tried Cornell and Diehl autumn evening however, once I get another tin I'll get into that in the same pipe.
Continuing to enjoy my (now not cellared) tin of Dunhill Ready Rubbed in my Chacom Yellow Atlas (262).
But the filter only makes me love it even more... big wide bowl and 9mm, yes please! Sweet piece sir..
Thank you @gord ! I'm very partial to it's lines and size as well. As I was smoking it, I was thinking I would love to find a Dunhill and/or a Comoy's sister(s) in the same vein...Been looking for this pipe for about half an hour . . . . mentioned in my Kewpie Doll post on PaulRVA's pipe, I'd find it, and lo and behold it was just a few posts below his lovable monster.
I'm the first to admit I don't know much about pipes, and tend to post about others' pipes that I find aesthetically pleasing and that I'd like to own. In other words, personal taste. I know nothing about the historic aspects of pipes, value, style types . . . but I'm here to learn, and when I have time I'll find out. I know it will add much pleasure to my browsing.
I do know I'm fond of quarter bent stems, love smoking them, and have about a dozen of them. I've always loved wood and wood grain (a kickover from the violin world), and this one seemed to have it all.
To me, a magnificent pipe, and beautifully presented. Kewpie Doll for sure!!

Decided to try @Backwoods Briar 50/50 blend a try. Good call on that, thank you for sharing. Enjoying it in my MM Diamondback with a mug of black coffee.
