Seriously considered getting one of those but they were gone pretty quickly. Glad you got one!My CRF w/P finally arrived from Smoking Pipes today, so here we go! Along with the tobacco, I got a new Ropp Smoking Pipes 25th anniversary sandblasted bent apple, that's supposed to resemble the SP logo. So far I'm really impressed by both!

Maybe it's just me, but Dan, it may not be the best thing for a fellow who practices his axe throwing and has 46 bullseyes to his credit...... to give up smoking his pipe which gives him pleasure and relaxation for an extended period of time.Starting Stoptober tomorrow, giving up the pipe & baccy for a month, possibly until the Sealed Knot Battle of Nantwich next January if I'm going there.

Thank you sir.Nice wood.
Man, Scarlatta has got it going on with the grain. What a looker.Infusion day!
Finishing up my morning Steamworks in the new Regina Scarlatta full bent.

Right up there with Cavicchi I think, as far as straight grain ratio. Makes you wonder- are they just getting all the best (prettiest) blocks, or are they just meticulous?Man, Scarlatta has got it going on with the grain. What a looker.
Man, what a looker!!! The grain consistency on that is such that the original block of briar must have been a one in a thousand piece. Congrats.Infusion day!

I think, partially due to being in Italy & partially due to relationship with briar sellers, RS (and some others) gets a much better ratio of quality blocks.Man, what a looker!!! The grain consistency on that is such that the original block of briar must have been a one in a thousand piece. Congrats.
