PS400 in the Falcon Hyperbole

IMG_6285.jpeg

I’ve mostly had cigars in the evening, and I wanted a little change, so I looked through the stash to see what’s been neglected lately. I remembered how much I enjoyed the PS400 in the MM Legend at first, and one of the reasons I bought the Hyperbole was for flakes, so it was time to give it a try, and practice folding and stuffing in the process.

Very tasty and pleasant. I can really notice the flavor develop as it goes along; I think it’s better in the Falcon than in the cob or the Baraccini 673. Delicious aroma and flavor.

Now smoking C&D Carolina Red Flake 2024 (Small Batch) in a 1960s Austrian meerschaum bent apple with a tapered yellow stem. Finalizing my review, which I'll post tomorrow. Been watching the Yankees-Mariners game.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm a quarter of the way through this bowl of Watch City English Ernie-ental in a straight dark brown and tan rusticated Peterson 2023 Saint Patrick’s Day 264 Canadian with an Irish flag colored ferrule and tapered black acrylic stem.

I went to the kitchen a couple of minutes ago, and saw that Abner the Eager grabbed a chicken leg out of the trash, and was nibbling on it. As I picked it up to put it back in the trash, he grabbed to grab it from my hand, the silly li'l bugger.

Some comments:
1) Re: the attempts at 515 + 507, not "ringing the bell" & missing something ... I've done a McClelland version with Christmas Cheer + 5105, but "jazzed it up" with some McClelland Blending Perique. Oh yeah (!). Am also thinking instead of the Perique, maybe adding some type of Dark Fired would also work well. I'd say don't give up too soon on the combo of red & black Virginias.

2) A mention has been made about a Savinelli 626 with some Evan Williams alongside, plus the Zippo for good measure. Yup, wonderful.

3) As different Forum Brothers happily mention the cooler Fall weather arriving, well ... don't call me a Wet Blanket, but if this humid, mid-80's MN weather doesn't break soon, I'm going to SCREAM (!!!). NOTE: Hoping Ben & Ted & Craig are holding up in this MN sauna (?!?!).

4) Re: Paul's choice of ... "a low-rate sailors gin & tonic" ... my endorsement will follow tonight. A gin & tonic may not be the first choice to accompany a big bowl of my first Fall prep of a big pot of homemade chili, but HEY, wouldn't this be similar to "Eat What You Like & Like What You Eat"?
