How wide are the buttons on these? I’ve smoked a Ropp stout and loved the look of the horn stem on it but the button was so narrow that it wasn’t enjoyable to smoke.

They will pass a standard fluffy cleaner easily.
I’m used to older pipes with small bone tenons (need for Falcon cleaners on some) so the draw on these are pretty free

Sorry I meant the actual button itself rather than the draft hole. The Ropp I’m referring to had what seemed to be a 5mm- or 6mm-wide button.
The button on the 1898 is 9mm x 6mm
The WHC is 11mm x 6mm
The Moretti is 14mm x 6mm. This is the last of Marco’s father-in-laws stock of old horn stems

I use silicon bits/silicon tubing on these horn stems
Horn is quite soft and is easily damaged if you are clench
