Not far from finishing this bowl of year 2019 C&D Yorktown in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Terracotta 4AB No.108/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Filling in black areas on the Archie pages, which I'll touch up and finish later this evening.

Lane 1-Q with some Autumn Evening on top in the Barontini 1/2 spigot bent billiard with 9mm stem ... I believe I have finally finished solving the heat problem with this pipe. I sanded off the wood filler and restained the pipe with Parker and Bailey Wood Stain scratch cover markers then added a light coat of wax. As long as I don't smoke pure Virginias (blends are ok) and leave a bit of room at the top the pipe doesn't get hot but barely warm to the touch. Thoroughly enjoyable now and I think it looks abit better ... more natural than fancy.
