Thank you for clearing that up, I’m not sure of the difference between the two, is rock ambra a natural substance? I think you have a similar one don’t you Jim?I believe that's rock ambra, which is a substitute for amber.
Those Commodore’s are a damn good pipe, I have one myself and wouldn’t mind getting more. I’d like to see more Grabow’s posted on here, I think they’re highly underrated.WCC Simply Orange in a Dr. Grabow: Commodore 65 Zulu, dated from 1967-1969 with a vulcanite stem, metal screw-in tenon, no stinger.
Be well everyone!

P.S. The pipe does look this good, and I don’t clinch the stem, there’s not a mark on it, and I always keep it oiled up with Obsidian. The pipe looks almost brand new, whoever owned it before took damm good care of it.
That’s a lovely pipe, beautiful patina.Fed the ferals, did a little snacking, and am smoking year 2017 E-soterica Dorchester in a straight smooth brown 1920s KBB Rocky Briar 1582 patent no.298978 with a B in a circle bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

I hope KBV makes another run of Patience. I finished the last of mine a couple months ago and i crave it once in a while. It’s a nice cool morning and everyone is asleep except for the cats and myself. Having some coffee with a bowl of KBV The Patience of Dr Silence in a Rattray’s. I love the looks of this little pipe. View attachment 247103
