My work week is completed, and I’m stepping out on the the porch with St Bruno, in a cob. Another beautiful day, in the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina.
Just lurking about as I’m still not recovered enough to attempt a pipe. Been down hard for the past month but am getting stronger every day. I think about another week maybe.
I have four blends lined up for this evening, Savinelli Jupiter in the Longchamp bulldog,
Solani 633 in the small Kiko Caveman, home stoved Germain’s Gold Leaf in the BC Cadre Noir. But first up is DTM’s The Raven in the big Kiko meerschaum Caveman. I imagine there’ll be a couple of bowls of otc’s in between, probably SWR and Duke Albert. Have a good evening gentlemen.
Not far from finishing this bowl of circa year 2000 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink. It's a busy day, but I'll get it all done.

Lunchtime throwdown of St. Bruno RR in it's small tan Tilshead smooth Dublin with flattened shank and stem versus C&D Kajun Kake in it's small Burak Connoiseur smooth Tankard with tapered stem. Just because (retiree bordom?). Both are very tasty blends in their unique ways. So far? A draw, no winner; will have to repeat probably many times, switch pipes etc. , could take months of continued piping.
Time for a set of walking reps with a bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in an undated straight brush etched black Molina apple with a nickel band and a black tapered vulcanite stem.
Nearing the half way mark on this bowl of aged Stanwell Extra Mild in a 2003 medium bent Ural meer with a lined and etched egg shaped bowl with a silver band and a pearl brown acrylic saddle stem. Writing review notes as I watch the Giants-Cubs game.
Just finished up my second PS Nougat in the Briar Works -- I'm definitely impressed by the quality of the pipe. Pretty easy to clench while typing out nonsense on the laptop. Coffee and water along with it.
