Just finished work and this bowl of Heine's Blend in the very first pipe I ever bought ($2.49) in 1974; a smooth three quarter bend Dr. Grabow Omega with a black vulcanite stem.

Motzek Strang and Old Joe Krantz in a workhorse Design Berlin Junior! THANKS to a very fine, very generous another member of this forum!! Totally enjoyed both and am, once again, in awe of the generosity and thoughtfulness of fellow pipesters!

Good afternoon, smoke folks! Today is about as pleasant as they come for this time of year around here. So, the dog and I have decided to make a trek through the nearby woods. I’ve brought some 4noggins Bald Headed Teacher in a Dr. Grabow Regal along for the trip.
There are a couple of abandoned dwellings out here that are a bit of a mystery. They sit far away from any roads and there are no obvious paths that lead to them. They just sprout up amidst the trees. I’ve asked several people in the area about them, but most didn’t even know that they were here and those that did said that they were here and abandoned before they arrived. I treat them as remote rest stops while wandering the woods and often stop for a quiet smoke while the dog terrorizes the resident squirrels and rabbits.

Just finished smoking St. Basil’s Golden Brown in an early smooth Radice Tiger Eye G medium bend pipe with a bamboo-style carving on the shank with a black acrylic stem.

Almost finished smoking STCoP Dobie’s Four Square Circles in a slight bend rusticated 1979 Savinelli Estella 310 poker with a green pearl acrylic stem. A bottle of Orange Nehi made with pure cane sugar is my drink.

My own mix of Dark Burly, Izmir, 2 lats, and perique in a smooth 1/4 bent Wally Frank Ltd. Algerian Briar Dublin, with vulchanite saddle stem.

When I got this pipe and started to clean it I was much less experienced and almost immediately broke off a piece of the button. D'oh!

It went back together with glue and hasn't been a problem nor is it even visible, at least, not to my tired old eyes. This pipe is right up there with the good ones.
