Borkum Riff Bourbon Whisky in a Sav Canadian. But... early enjoyed more of that War Horse review sample Woodsroad slipped me. Grateful... very grateful. Nine hour drive today to the Iron Range northeast of Duluth for a story tomorrow... pulled over to buy groceries but decided I needed a puff in the peaceful solitude of the woodsy village I'd stopped at. That is the exact right perfect place for War Horse ready rubbed. Wonderful break halfway through the long drive.

Oh... had the War Horse from Standard Tobacco Co. in my favorite old beat up Grabow freehand. Suits it. I still think of it as "working man's tobacco." Later I'm trying it in a cob. I'll be back! (My guess is, it will be just as pleasant).
Best drink with War Horse? For me, thick, rich coffee. Or a simple whisky -- though coffee with whisky in it worked well, too. Diet Coke? Not so much. The Coke "erased" some of the War Horse's dark flavor. Coffee accentuates it, fills it out.
