Got an early start today and now it is time for a break. I think my first smoke of the day will be a bowl of XX Black Twist in this 5 1/2' meerschaum 'cutty' with faux amber stem and silver band. I am using a meerschaum pad in the base and as you can see the pipe has turned the usual 'turd' color but the coloring process has ground to a halt before reaching the foot of the pipe.

I'm genuinely intrigued and like the design on what looks like cast iron.

It looks like a coffee grinder for me. Obviously for others too. As I see now.

The pipe is nice as well.

I'm not entirely sure. It's some sort of grinder. My wife picked it up on the Goodwill site.

Smoking Capstan Gold Flake in an Amorelli. At my son's house which is slightly outside I 75 in Sarasota. Power already out at my house. 50 plus mph sustained winds right now with gusts up to 80. Should see around 130 mph in a bit. It's actually not too bad right now back in the lanai

Morning pipe: C&D Anthology in my Radice Hawkbill. 51 degrees this morning. I told my wife that I am not looking forward to “no pipe” weather. May have to get a shed for the back yard where I can run a heater and smoke to my heart’s content.

My wife wants one of those little saunas for the back yard. I wonder if she'd mind if it smelled like tobacco smoke...
