Did you ever try the boiling water and press-method? Put the tenon in boiling hot water for a minute or so. Then press it on the tabletop in right angle. Repeat if necessary until the right fit. It will compress the tenon a little bit and make it wider as far as it’s made of acryl or ebonite. Be careful not to overdo this, otherwise it may crack the shank. Repaired twice a loose fit with that, cracked a fine line in one.

My understanding is that, all you need to do is put a little water on the tenon, and you could also, take a moist q-tip and lightly wipe the inside of the shank, then put the tenon on and let it sit overnight.

Drying a clump of Balkan Sobranie (just a sample...what kinda moneybags y'all think I am anyway? ), to go in my Savinelli Bacco 321 bent author. This pipe is breaking in quite nicely.

Bird report: California scrub-jay, House finch, Steller's jay, California towhee, Common raven, Northern flicker, Hairy woodpecker, Pine siskin (first time!), California quail, White-breasted nuthatch, Oak titmouse, Mountain chickadee, and a soaring Red-tailed hawk.

Was woken up in the wee hours by the attic mousetrap claiming another victim. Looks like I've got one last final part of the house to seal, probably with Kwikmesh. That should put the kibosh on that BS! These rodents should brush up on some Arthur Lee:
