Esoterica Woodbridge (sample) in my Savinelli Tortuga 614 Faux-Oom Paul. More accurately, it's an extremely bent billiard having an identity crisis. Whatever the official designation is, I do love this pipe, and put all my aromatics in it. Enjoying a beautiful chilly day that feels much more like autumn than it does summer. Paired with a small cup of coffee that I had to drink pretty fast, lest it become iced coffee.

Bird report: California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, House finch, Oak titmouse, Mountain chickadee, White-breasted nuthatch, Hairy woodpecker, Common raven, California quail, California towhee, and White-crowned sparrow. Eked out a narrow Scrabble victory vs. wifey (those triple word scores freaking kill me), and about to prepare scotch highballs for the both of us. Shabbat shalom!

The Saturday ZOOM meeting was both fun and informative. Some very heady conversations today.
I smoked my Peterson Sherlock Holmes Strand (one of the pipes my wife bought me at the Dublin Grafton Street store when we visited Ireland in 2002). It was filled with Drucquer's Royal Ransom from 1980. I sipped my usual Peach/Mango Green Tea with a fistful of bergs and a splash of Honey Jack.

Morning all, happy Sunday. Smoking Mac Baren Balkan blend in a Poul Winslow poker with a Yeti full of Russian caravan tea. Both are deep, rich and carry that smoke/campfire flavour.

Here, on the other side of the dateline it's still Saturday afternoon. I flew from Honolulu to Auckland, New Zealand once--a 9-hour flight. I left Honolulu Friday night and arrived in Auckland Sunday morning. I'm still trying to figure out who stole Saturday.
