Capstan Gold in a little Pete 31. I almost gave up on this pipe and was looking for someone to donate it to. Then I followed a suggestion on here and tried a flake in it; the rest is history. Great every time.

Capstan Gold in the Pete 31 for the return lunt to the train station. The second half of the bowl of GLP Cairo is waiting for me in the Stanwell Buffalo In the car for the drive from home station to front door. Not a bad way to travel!

Great Outdoors in a straight MM CG. A little taste of America in south-east England. Wonder if the USAAF pilots and crew stationed here during WWII brought cobs and US tobacco with them? I suppose they must have done. That would have been a wonder among the locals! Some of the US planes were based in the airfield about 4 miles from my house so they would have drunk in our village pub. I'll have to ask!

P&W #515 in a 1998 smooth straight Butz-Choquin Bistro 1501 pot. I really enjoy this tobacco, and can see why Basil Rathbone did, too.

St Bruno Ready Rubbed in a Morgan mini-cob. Persevering with this OTC blend but not feeling the love, if I'm honest. A lot of the problem is that it simply doesn't hold up to the premium tobaccos I've discovered since joining this site. Shame, really.

Some Samuel Gawith Commonwealth Full Strength Mixture in a brand new Huck Finn cob. Not sure I'm a fan of this one - there's something about the flavor that hits me a little wrong, and it seems to be biting a tad (not the steam burn, either - more akin to the allergic reaction some folks have mentioned with certain Red Virginias...). Weird, as this didn't happen on the last bowl I tried (though that was a while back), and I was fully prepared to enjoy the heck out of a stout Latakia-heavy blend.
