Cold and Windy with Rain predicted so Kramer’s Father Dempsey in an Altinay Meerschaum Spigot Pot and an Americano ☕️ on the side.

Probably no one "anal retentive" enough (other than myself) to notice that this month, we topped 4,000 posts!!!

Of course, that and five dollars with get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.....

And, our own @PaulRVA was the lucky poster to hit the magic number. And how appropriate that it was that beautiful Altinay Meer of his.....
Paul will be receiving the keys to the new Corvette that he won, in just a few days....

I now return you to your regular network programming.

Oh, almost forgot. I had an E. P. Carillo, Maduro while doing barn chores.....

Yesterday Barn chores got you a new Sexy Beast of a Kaywoodie and today you get a Stogie !
What gives man? All I get is more chores 😂 I’m fixing to install 6 infrared / night vision cameras in the soffit Corners before the rain hits and backup hardwire them as well as wifi. Wife always wants something 😬

This tub of Carter Hall is at least 10 years old. STG is still making a version of Carter Hall. Unfortunately, not as good as this.
Not disagreeing with you on flavor, I wouldn't know, but I thought this one wasn't an STG product. One of the last ones... could be wrong though! Maybe STG owns John Middleton too. Carter Hall is on my short list to try. I've been loving Granger lately after I let the tub sit for a couple of years.

Did half a set of walking reps before it started misting. I had hoped to get a full set in before it rained... oh well. Anyway, I'm near the finish of this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a slight bent black pattern etched 1977 Lorenzo Lorsan Sigma level top billiard with a gray swirl acrylic saddle stem. Fed Daisy the Feral Princess and Harry the Hairy. Dunno where Tomato the Brave is.

A year ago on this day, October 29, my dear friend David Cuneo passed away. Some of you knew him as Dmcmtk. In tribute to the great human being that he was, I will be smoking pipes from his collection gifted to me by his sister. I’ll start with ten that I haven’t smoked yet. There’ll be more of those sometime in the future since a few more are cleaned, and not dedicated to blends. I've more to clean as well.

Now smoking a bowl from a freshly opened tin of year 2014 Astley’s No. 44 in a straight smooth brown pre-republic Peterson’s Sterling billiard 260 with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Gold Star Jamaica Blue Mountain, neat, is my drink. RIP David.

What can I say,.... "Some days are diamonds, some days are stone."

So, the wifey is getting you to add to the security system for the estate with six more hi-tech cameras?? Not sure why.... the security system and team there now, rivals the Pentagon....

Folks, here's a picture of Paul's "Chief of Security" monitoring the grounds of the estate:

I'm sure this anniversary is very difficult for you, Jim as we know that David was a very close friend and while nothing can erase the loss, at least you have great memories and you have those pipes of his that will always remind you of him. You do him a great honor with each posting of one.

Thank you for writing that. I've been preparing for this day for a while, but yeah, it's been more difficult today.
