Still "suffering" through a TAD episode. During a recent purchase (SP) I decided to toss in one of these little Belgian Semois cigars ($2.75 wasn't too high a risk) to see what they're about. It arrived today.

I like it. A lot. Different. Being a man of, often, too many words (and, likewise, often too few), the only single word I can think of to describe it is -- Piquant. In a good way. Wonderful aroma!

Iced coffee to drink. :coffee: 🧊

Edit to add: I noticed that the head of the cigar eventually becomes more moist and soft from saliva than a typical cigar. So, for anyone trying these, I would recommend a "holder," which I'll do next time. If I get it again ... and I likely will!

I'm smoking a home brew that I jarred many years ago, and though I'm pretty good at labeling exactly what I've done, on this jar it only says "Jim's Rainy Day Blend, VA, LAT, PER". It's black as night, and I do remember a very high percentage of Perique and Latakia. I dearly wish I could remember the proportions, because this stuff is rich, moody, smoky, burns great, and now I'm down to about a third of a jar. Bummer. But LOVIN' IT while it lasts!

Well, on Monday the sixth I bit my tongue, and then on the seventh I came down with a surprisingly persistent head cold, so today was my first time smoking in one week. I lit up the unfinished bowl of CRFP ‘25 that I didn’t finish smoking a week ago, and boy howdy it was rich. I gave away the open tin I had of that, as well as a sealed tin, to a friend of mine who is just getting into pipes, so the next couple bowls today were the last of a generous sample of Mac Baren’s Plumcake in my Comoy’s 334 (two things culminating in one experience that I would not have had without this forum), and then many hours later a monster Missouri Meerschaum cob bowl full of 2023 Nightcap. It’s good to be back smoking, folks. IMG_7899.jpeg
