Now smoking year 2023 H&H Viprati in a 2000s brown quarter bend sandblast Pierluigi 140 brandy military mount with a silver cap and a caramel acrylic saddle stem. Writing and editing my review of the Haunting. Tomato the Brave came in to eat, and wanted to play. So did Harry the Hairy, which intimidated Tomato even though he was getting my attention. Tomato decided it wasn't worth dealing with Harry, so he wanted out. Harry only wanted to play, too, so I don't blame the furball for anything except his lack of social skills. The Tigers-Mariners game is supposed to start at the top of the hour.

Currently enjoying some Harbour Dreams in my C22.

Just made the selection for what pipes are coming on the cruise with me...

I'm also bring this C22 and my Murder City Billiard in the pipe roll as the workhorses.

In the deciding phase, I realized there may be a problem with my pipe shape preferences.

Is it possible to have too many stubby dublins?

OJK in a Manhattan Bakelite bulldog. When I first got this pipe, I thought it had a replacement stem. Then I got the idea to compare it to an original version. I could see that someone had left the original bit and reconfigured the taper for a thinner bite area. They did a really expert job. It is very pleasant to smoke.

Thanks, man. I just keep falling in love with ones I see and like asking carvers to make their version of a stublin. Eventually, I'll save up and commission a Yeti, Boswell or Jared Cole version, just need to keep my eyes from seeing something else in the meantime 🤣

Finished my tin of Port Guardian last evening so on to something else. Opened a tin of CRFwP I recently received. Didn't give it any dry time which I think might be beneficial. Liking it so far but still working through flavors in the first part of the bowl. Smoking a Peterson Donegal Rocky 69 I was using while tasting Port Guardian. About due for a thorough cleaning but still tasting good.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm passing the last third of this bowl of year 2020 Mac Baren Scottish Mixture in a smooth full bend 1977 Crown Coachman (Comoy’s second) 215 egg with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Haven't smoked this pipe in years, but it got heavy usage in the 70s-2000. I usually smoke this blend in a 1960s Charatan bulldog, but since I used to smoke Scottish Mixture in this, I thought I'd try it for old time's sake. I notice that the blend is mellower in the Charatan than it is in this pipe. The topping and tobaccos are more obvious here, too. Anyway, I didn't realize that I never photographed this pipe, but this will have to do for now. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching the Tigers-Mariners game.
