My doctor told me not to lift anything heavy until I see the neurosurgeon but not thinking I loaded the Pub pipe with PS400 Luxury Navy Flake. I'm smoking my sandblast pipes lately for some reason. I won't finish this tonight anyway and it will last well into tomorrow. Alternating between light clenching and holding the pipe ... I don't know if that helps. 🤷‍♂️ :sher:

Had a friend over this afternoon, and had a delightful chat about precious metals/mining stocks over a bowl of pre-STD Mac Baren Navy Flake in my burley pipe, a Savinelli Porto Cervo (visualize that being said with an Italian accent, as opposed to coming from a honky like myself) 122 rusticated bent pot, with a glass of red wine. Naturally, it was during the course of this conversation that gold surpassed $3,900/oz., hitting a new record high (again). I may have to crack that tin of Ashton Gold Rush that I was supposed to do back at the 3k mark. 9/10

Bird report: California scrub-jay, House finch, White-crowned sparrow, Dark-eyed junco, California towhee, American crow, California quail, Mountain chickadee, Bushtit, White-breasted nuthatch, Northern flicker, Band-tailed pigeon, Oak titmouse, Spotted towhee, Steller's jay, and Cooper's hawk.

Back to the grind. Joy.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking year 2022 Solani 633 in a straight smooth brown Algerian briar post-WW2-mid 50s family era Barling’s Make Ye Olde Wood Straight Grain Made in England bulldog with a diamond shape shank and black ebonite stem. This pipe came from the estate of David Cuneo. Sleepy Suzy is by my side. Molly Danger is on m'lady's lap. The ferals have been outside for a while.

Wow! it has turned into a Gorgeous Afternoon! 70F in the shade on the porch, where I am finishing a tin of The Aperitif in a Mastro de Paja 3AL Egg. I know a dead tin when I see one. This baccy tin has ceased to be. It is bereft of baccy. The contents have gone to meet their maker. It is an ex-baccy tin.

Beautiful pipe, though . . . . . don't remember you posting that one before.

Keep looking at this pipe, and have to give you my comeback Kewpie! :) 👍👍

This is my favourite, and has been for some time, of your meers. everything works here - not overly ornate, taking great color, and the traditional (or at least very common) yellow stems on meers is very tastefully muted and blends in with the overall flow of the whole design. Beautiful!
