Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am smoking year 2012 Carter Hall in a black rusticated medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY 4AB No. 437/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Fed all three ferals who are here, and am watching Sherlock Holmes.

Near the last quarter of this bowl of year 2022 KBV Mr. Christian's Haunted Virginia 2022 in a straight, black sandblasted 1980s Comoy’s Mark-2 G * 6 (4) bulldog with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Sleepy Suzy is by my side.

It’s shoulder season in Anchorage: Fall is over and the local lakes are mostly frozen, but still too thin to skate on but no snow in town to ski on. It makes for nice walking when the sun is out, which it was today. I took advantage of the conditions by smoking a burley-based stoved cherry aromatic in a vintage Medico “Double-Dri” system pipe. Very nice!

It seems like the golden delicious is an integral part of your pipe smoking routine! Is there a method to all this (I feel like an apple could be a really nice companion to a pipe!) or do you just really enjoy apples?

Just finished smoking well aged Art’s Virginia in a 1980s White Pipe straight, smooth Rhodesian meerschaum with an acrylic yellow cream colored saddle stem. The pipe and tobacco were gifts from my late friend Art Arterburn. The blend is 80% McClelland Va.s and 20% McClelland burley. 4Noggins sold it for several years. Was tired earlier, but I got my second wind after my last smoke while reading about the old west.
