@Fralphog Love this pipe; not into Orientals myself!West side yard relaxing with a test mixture in the TD made in Japan Clay with black coffee.
I have some CS Merriwether baccy that is good enough on its own, but not great. So, I’ve decided to add some Izmir, Perique and red VA to it to create a new flavor profile with more “depth”?
My first impressions are very favorable. The Turkish and Perique add a little spice and are enhancing and evening out the somewhat overdone topping on this baccy.

@mtwaller I think the Bold Kentucky & Brown No. 4 would suit the King's Clay. The Rustica is the strongest pipe baccy I've ever smoked...

I’ve only ever smoked any of these just a couple times on their own. I planned to use them to add some oomph to other blends, but I never actually do. Tonight I figured what the hell, they’re all fine tobaccos, let’s give them some time in the spotlight.
My heart and prayers go out to you and all of Appalachia. Our church is partnered with churches in affected areas and we are awaiting word as to when we can get boots on the ground and help. Donating all we can in the meantime and getting those supplies to those churches for distribution.Chenet’sin a Jess Chonowitsch and pictures of rubble that used to be my house. Repairs start next week. A couple of trees hit us, right where I often sit to smoke!

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and green beans dinner with strawberries. I'm almost half way through this bowl of year 2010 Full Virginia Flake in a straight 1968 Dunhill Shell bulldog with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. I'm way behind watching the Royals-Yankees game because one of my best friends who lives in Asheville was finally able to call me, and tell me that he and his lady are doing fine after the awful storms. They found good shelter in another city, and their home wasn't damaged. I am so relieved to hear that news, and the news that a few other friends who live around there are alright.

Exclusive in a Peterson Donegal Rocky X105. Took a walk along the cotton fields earlier this evening. Never thought I would live in cotton country. The Lord had other plans!
Trying some of this new SPC Hogshead Bourbon Barrel blend. So far, I can’t tell a difference from regular Hogshead.

Followed by Aberrant in a Sherlock Holmes smooth Deerstalker. I’m finding with this blend, the larger chamber, the better. This was the best so far. Still exploring… but I’ll see what I have that’s larger and give it a go. I might even remember to share whatever I think I learned
