Good morning. While I am preparing some things at home, before leaving for the hospital, I am smoking a cigar, a classic Tuscan cigar. On October 9th my wife had a complete hysterectomy operation. I am practically living in the hospital until she is discharged and I take her home. She had benign myomas removed, all together they are about the size of a baby. A pandemic that, as you know, attacks women, unfortunately. I wish you a happy day. Here it is a holiday, Virgen del Pilar. God bless you guys.View attachment 252743

Enjoyed a big, tasty lunch, and have a third of a bowl left of Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Evening Flake in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson Ebony POTY 4AB No. 422/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Maui Red Catuai, neat, is my drink.

This could go into almost any one the What Are You... threads but I'll put it here.

Smoking Old Dark Fired in a Pete flame grain 03. The ODF has been fighting a battle against the ghost of Condor in this pipe for about a month. The tide is finally starting to turn under the force of ODFs relentless ground assault.

Sipping on a glass of The Irishman Founder's Reserve. The coppery sweetness of Irish whiskey really works well with the Old Dark Fired.

Reading Sideswipe by Charles Willeford. It's quite a bit better than the mass market cover would lead you to believe.

Listening to Kenny Burrell's Midnight Blue (not pictured).

Some Haddo's on a grey, drizzly morning thinking about my old, much missed friend, Sante Giuliani, who was known around here as fishnbanjo. We went back about twenty-five years, brought together by our love of fly fishing, and spent many an hour astream together here, there and everywhere. A lovely guy and a hoot. Couldn't sing a lick but compensated with volume. View attachment 253329

That's Banjo, fourth from the left at a long ago fishing gathering of good friends at an inn near the FarmingtonView attachment 253349
Thanks for that photo. Sante and I were very close friends, and I miss him greatly.
