A short break for an early afternoon tea of Madelaines and a mug of black chai.

Continuing the theme of diamond shanked bent pipes.
This one an 1884 William Reed & Co bent billiard, diamond shank, tapered stem with orific bit. Sterling silver spigot and rim cap.

With a bowl of well-rubbed out Former's Straight Grain Flake

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am not far from finishing the last of this tin of year 2012 Sutliff BRG in a brown medium bend 1970s Peterson 309 Standard sculpted billiard military mount with a nickel ferrule and a black vulcanite saddle stem.

Home for a coffee and a think, got cattle stranded in a few spots but they are standing on dry’ ish ground but we have lots of damage. Fences washed away, roads too. Bowl of St James plug whilst I contemplate the work ahead 🤦‍♂️
@VDL_Piper

My thoughts are with you and those afflicted by the recent floods and fire.
Hopefully the dreadful weather will abate soon.

KBV Brown Flek, rubbed out, in a faceted J Alan sandblasted billiard. Interesting work week done and now it's time to enjoy the weekend. I hope that everyone will do the same.

Love the Sparky Anderson avatar. He is one of my favorite managers from my favorite team (and top 3 eras of that team). Eat em up Tigers, eat em up.

There are a few great photos of Sparky smoking a pipe. My favorite is A black and white photo of Sparky in the visiting locker room (since he is wearing an away uniform) while reading the paper.

Since you are from Cincinnati, I'm guessing you prefer his years.with the Reds. I know Sparky wears the Reds cap in the Hall of Fame, but he is still a Tiger to me (and I won't hold it against either of you).

Saturday's morning pipe with... accessories.
It's a Mr Brog from Poland. I bought 3 of them, when I was starting out and wanted to quickly build a pipe collection/rotation. I don't know If I would do it now, maybe (probably) not. All of them had problems with the tenon (it soon broke) and the stems were replaced, this one by my friend George Leousis - GL Pipes. Anyway, I still smoke my Mr Brog pipes, now i have in it: Capstan Original Navy Cut (blue).

I wish you all, a nice weekend good people.

Did a bit of snacking, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2012 St. James Flake in a straight 1968 Dunhill Tanshell octagonal paneled EK F/T billiard with a square shank and tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Not far from finishing this bowl of year 2012 Carter Hall in a black rusticated medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY 4AB No. 437/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. That'll do it for me!
