Trying some Peterson Sherlock Holmes in a 2021 POTY SH rusticated 4AB - my review is this is “tobacco-y” so that’s fine by me, but nothing that will make me forego my Wilke No. 515 in the future. I’m relaxing and it’s not bugging me, but I honestly don’t see grabbing it vs. some other available blend from my “cellar” at any time in the near future. 82A81BAC-14E7-4F2D-81C1-6EE99223BB57.jpeg

Finishing off a tin of Bobs Chocolate Flake in my big ole billiard from Mark Tinsky. Deciding to now open and fill that jar with Ennerdale or continue down the rabbit hole I’m in with KBV blends. BCF is a fine enough smoke but didn’t blow my hair back. Undecided if I would purchase again.B58D4776-C96E-4A5E-881C-FA079DE1BC17.jpeg

Followed the short BPC bowl with a Lightly loaded custom Canadian with the mystery tobacco found with my father’s pipe collection...in an unsealed jar (wood ‘set on top’ lid that is at least 45 years old. Did some gentle rehydrating with a humidor puck for a couple weeks. It is quite pleasant! Light, burns easy. No idea what it could have been... guessing a general old codger burley forward blend? Relaxing after a wonderful salad, steel head trout and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm not far from finishing this bowl of C&D Yorktown in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Terracotta 4AB No.108/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Cleaned some pipes, did the dishes, fed Suzy and Molly, and Daisy the Feral Princess. Doing a bit of editing/rewriting on my upcoming GLP Bankside review. Still need to smoke more to be sure of a few of aspects regarding the individual flavors of the varietals.

Today and this afternoon, Lane 1-Q in the Barontini 1/2 spigot bent billiard then later in the Savinelli EF 128 Billiard while keeping the woodpeckers at bay. Not in my area but : A Vermillion Flycatcher was spotted at the beach in Nantucket today ... apparently only the third time ever seen in the Massachusettes ...a male from Venezuela ... a big deal for bird watchers.
