I'll post separately but I just got some bottles that were distilled during WWII and the distillery had to have a cooper make the barrels on site because they couldn't get any otherwise.

Sunny afternoon here, watching a trio of WW2 Yak planes flying formations for the last few days, the airport here in Cowra (New South Wales, Australia) seems to attract a fair few old war planes to restore, mainly Russian Yak's.
Not far from me is the town of Temora were they have a good annual air-show,
they seem to get the occasional Spitfire, P 51, and Zero and others.

Did a bit of snacking, and am smoking Wilke No. 222 in a late 40s, early 50s straight black sandblasted Wagner (Comoy’s second) pot with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Working and listening to the MLB talk on the XM.
Morning smoke of Amphora Red Full in my newly acquired GBD Century 392,(to reduce this wide open draw I had to put a paper filter in,otherwise this pipe would perform something like 6mm Savinelli without a filter inserted)
Last one of the night, Sweet Virginia Flake in a Mr. Brog The Hobbit.

Almost half way through this bowl of D&R Raccoon’s Accent in an undated straight smooth brown The Lumberman Special (Comoy’s) with a tapered black vulcanite saddle stem. Still working.

Just finished smoking Wilke Peanut Butter and Chocolate in a 2016 quarter bend Royal Meerschaum lattice apple meer with a black, gold and cream swirl amber colored acrylic tapered stem.
Last smoke of the day is Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a smooth straight brown circa WW2 Trapwell mountain laurel patent apple with a nickel band and a black tapered vulcanite stem. Have a little more work to do.
