While I was gone, I smoked a bowl of AcesFour’s VaBur in the third pipe I ever bought ($1.95), a 1974 smooth straight French briar Hadley NEBPC apple with a black vulcanite tapered stem. M'lady and I went to the theater to watch the latest James Bond movie. Rather weak.

We've been holding off seeing it and need to get to the theater - the last installment was a mess of a disappointment to this Bond fan and since this is the last Craig outing I know I'll have mixed feelings given what I thought were pretty good benchmarks set by Casino Royale and Skyfall. But I digress . . . .

The different Wilke blends I've tried based on your reviews have been worth the effort! The Christmas Cheer I tried I think I just kind of blazed through and it seemed pretty mild and I had scorched my tongue on pizza at lunch so I'm going to have to revisit it in a couple of days - the Wilke 515 had no trouble getting through, lol, and had a nice, long and relaxing smoke in the Rathbone. I'd say the Maples, PB&C and Lizzie are my favorites of the Wilke so far.

FYI, I really enjoy finding time when I can to go through this thread and enjoy all of the different pipes that folks are posting - pretty much my highlight on the forum almost every day.

I wasn't a fan of this thread at first, although the concept and execution is top notch.

Needless to say, this thread is growing on me and becoming more enjoyable to see the different pipes and tobacco combinations members are smoking.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, and two plates of spaghetti and meatballs dinner with a scoop of chocolate chip mint ice cream for dessert. I'm a quarter of the way through this bowl of Pfeifen Huber Virginia Golden Flake in a straight smooth brown post-WWII Comoy’s Grand Slam billiard 27 Canadian patent 341422 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.
