Had the chance to enjoy a bowl of 2013 SG St James Flake. Every time I dig into this jar it just gets better. Today’s bowl tasted like Stonehaven with Perique. The Virginia has a treacle-type flavor and the Perique adds a slight spice. Aged SG flakes are outstanding.

Whiskey Biscuit Gravy, by Just for Him, in a Mountain Laurel hand carved poker by Jerry Perry of Colfax, N.C., home of the N.C. Persimmon Festival. Sample of blend thanks to a Forums member.
I have a Perry myself that I bought at the fair. Saddly the fair is canceled as you know. I was looking forward to getting another pipe from him this year.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of Wilke No. 111 in a smooth medium bend 1950s Peterson Shamrock Killarney 9BC with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching the Braves-Dodgers game. The Braves starting pitcher isn't much, so I figure to see the Dodgers win tonight.
