Now smoking Uhle’s 00 in a smooth medium bend 2002 Peterson Sherlock Holmes Series Milverton with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip stem. Watching the Braves-Marlins game that was played earlier today. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Enjoying some Presbyterian for the very first time. I'm glad I bought two tins, it's nothing out of the ordinary, simply a good English with a stronger Latakia presence than I was lead to believe. Smoking it in a Brigham Algonquin #247.

That's because they're far rarer than white . . . and, yes, black pipes matter . . . and as for Detective Holmes smoking a true black clay the question has yet to be answered conclusively:-
View attachment 45817

Yes, Virkia, it pretty much has. In "The Case of Identity," Holmes "[takes] down from the rack the old and oily clay pipe...." This is the "black pipe" which is mentioned in a few of the stories. It isn't a black clay pipe, but rather a blackened clay pipe, that has gained its "unsavory" and "oldest and foulest" designation from being much used and abused.
In the past few years, I've managed to nearly "blacken" a clay, and I'm quite fastidious, and rarely have any "three-pipe problems."
Stay well, my friend.

Did a little snacking and am about half way through through this bowl of year 1952 Edgeworth Slices in a straight sandblasted pre-transition Barling Exel 249 Fossil T.V.F. black billiard with a silver band and a black ebonite military bit tapered stem.
