Peter Heinrichs curly block in a Bonfiglioli pot with some mild but lovely straight grain that may have easily turned into a ring grain if he so choose it to be! Lovely smoke this am.
Starting off my smoking day with Wilke Vermont Maple Cavendish in a 2002 IMP smooth full bend egg shaped meer with a black acrylic saddle stem. Got three new-to-me Wilke blends to review.
About to enjoy a peaceful morning smoke of gold Rush (Ye Olde Pipe blend) in my bent briar. Listening to the birds adding and my old dog Buddy bark at the neighbors.
Cup of coffee backs it
Waking up with Brown Irish Twist in an old push-tenon, chess piece stinger Dr. Grabow Rhodesian. This pipe stays nearly room temperature while smoking. There's a subtle sweetness in this twist if you really slow down. Good morning!
A Triune mix of the dregs of three tins in a ten dollar Chinese Rosewood pipe. Some dramatic black clouds above the creamy mellow yellow clouds around the setting sun.
Some mad fiddler flake in a sandblast Rossi lovat. I find this tobacco much more appealing after it’s aired out and that what I think is some sort of apple topping goes away.......then very good!
