First bowl in 5 days and also first of the weekend and it's my new Volkan morta I'm using, first bowl was a tad raw & harsh as first bowls can be. I didn't get any creosote taste as I did in my previous couple of mortas.
The mechanics of the pipe are sound and it smoked dry and to a clean grey ash.
I chose 3 year old Samuel Gawith-Golden Glow to christen this pipe and very tasty it was too.

It’s been a 1 pipe 2 cigar day. After the kickoff bowl of Piccadilly mentioned earlier, it was an H. Upmann Legacy Churchill from a recently purchased box. Now, a very old H. Upmann corona imperial from 1995. Just 2 left in the box now, but these are on the backside of their prime.
