Almost half way through this bowl of G&H Cannon Plug in a 2013 bent MM Missouri Pride Legend. A bottle of Mountain Dew made with pure cane sugar is my drink.

When I was a kid, my local cable channel used to run old, black and white movies on weekend afternoons. There was the Creature Feature on Saturday with classic monster movies and sci-fi flicks, like Frankenstein and Earth vs. The Flying Saucers. Sundays brought the Afternoon Matinee that featured adventure films with the likes of Sinbad and Allan Quartermain. I didn’t miss a single one of them if I could help it and it my love of those genres and the imagery from the era that still persists. So, in tribute, today’s pipes ‘n’ pulp post is an afternoon matinee triple feature with Esoterica Dunbar in a meer-lined Le Duc and a 1931 Laurence Herndon illustration.

@simong: Many thanks! That's definitely not this pipe's good side, but it worked well enough for the photo.
