I’m looking to try it and EG (I’ll pass on DC, champagne taste/beer budget over here ) based on our preferences being similar, as well as the same scenario with a few other members. Night Owl looks interesting too.
Dark Moor has become one I definitely like, to my goat palate it’s like a Kentucky Royal Yacht vibe.

Sometime ago I made up a 2:2:1 blend of Esoterica Tilbury, C&D Red Virginia and Sam Gawith’s blending Perique.
I wasn’t too impressed then. I hope it has improved with time

A much more enjoyable smoke with the wider chamber revealing more nuances of the component tobaccos.
I’m really pleased I did this taste-off.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and smoked a bowl of year 2016 Peter Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake in a straight smooth brown 1962 Barling’s Make Ye Olde Wood Special 2104 Made in England billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Now smoking year 2014 Uhle’s 00 in a straight smooth brown post-WW2 LHS Purex Superfine 74 Canadian with a metal screw-in tenon and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Been a quiet evening so far. That may change when I let the ferals in to eat.

Cleaned the pipes that I smoked this evening, did a little low calorie snacking, and am passing the quarter mark of this bowl of year 2014 Esoterica Tilbury in a straight smooth Danish gold straight grain undated W.O. Larsen Hand Made in Denmark dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. All the cats ate except for Tomato the Brave. He was happy snoozin' in the heated cat house. I finally got him in for his wet food.

Now smoking year 2015 John Aylesbury Sir John’s Flake Virginia in a straight smooth light brown 2020 Ryan Alden Ace of Spades squat bulldog with a spalted pecan top and ferrule that’s attached to the tapered black acrylic stem. Enjoying quiet reading time. Tomato the Brave went out a couple of minutes after my last post. Norton the Nosey is lying on the kitchen floor. Sleepy Suzy is by my side.
