Jim, I recently watched a documentary on Troy. They believe they have found the ruins and it was quite interesting. Not sure if same one, but it talked a lot about whether the "Trojan Horse" story could have any basis in truth.

This morning was dark and foggy, a heavy mist blanketing the street, really mysterious looking, now the sun has come up the rays of light have turned the foggy mist gold, and it's off the street but still hovering the houses. Beautiful morning, and this smoke is hitting just perfect.

I wanted to compare Janneman with Reiner 71 back to back as I remember someone saying how similar they are. Having smoked a bowl of 71 last night in this same pipe and smoking this now I really don’t see much comparison. 71 is brighter and more perique.
On the menu for today's commute to work was a bowl of C&D From Beyond loaded in my Georg Jensen.

Steamworks 2024 in a Koolsmoke, which seems similar to a Grabow Viking. Tobacco has a nice oriental tang, but leans a little too far to Va. for me . Although smoking it damp seems to make it have a nutty burley flavor
Starting the day with some Sutliff Blenders Collection Per G. Jensen Burley in a clay. 
C&D Eight States Burley mixed with Rattray's Black Parrot, surprisingly to the improvement of both (strength of the former, and taste of the latter), in an Orlik Dublin with Meerschaum inset bowl (in one of the carriage sheds on the farm, out of the wind and the rain).
