A third of a bowl left of 2023 KBV Verge Engine Santa Drive in a 1978 Peterson Deluxe 20S medium bend smooth dark brown billiard with a silver cap military mount black vulcanite saddle p-lip stem. Daisy the Feral Princess came in for her wet food. Tomato the Brave didn't show up for his wet food, but I know he will. Dunno where Harry the Hairy is. He's been spending less time here lately, probably because of Norton the Nosey.

Well, I've lived all 40 of my years in Southern California, and seen some heavy rainstorms in my time. '93, '95, '98. But nothing compared to this past week.

It. Just. Wouldn't. Stop. 🤯

Suffice to say, I had my hands full cleaning up the muddiest ranch on the planet, to say nothing of having no time for a pipe. Finally broke the fast today with Mac Baren Vanilla Roll Cake in my aromatic pipe, a Savinelli Miele 641 KS smooth bent apple. Worth the wait! 9/10

Bird report: House finch, Dark-eyed junco, California towhee, California scrub-jay, White-crowned sparrow, Chipping sparrow, American crow, Band-tailed pigeon, Oak titmouse, Mountain chickadee, Northern flicker, Steller's jay, and White-breasted nuthatch.

This bowl is also dedicated to my paternal grandmother, who passed away 12 years ago tomorrow. 🙏

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and green beans dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm close to finishing this bowl of year 2020 Pfeifen Huber Virginia Golden Flake in a 1938 smooth straight brown patent Dunhill R 115 bowling ball apple with a tapered cumberland stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.
